They are operational documents created to describe the safest and most efficient way to perform a certain task, carry out an operation or operate a machine\/tool.<\/p><p>Safe operating procedures briefly document the risks associated with a work task and list the appropriate risk control measures into a sequence of steps for doing the task safely.<\/p><h3>Why do you need safe operating\/work procedures?<\/h3><p>Safe Operating or work procedures make workers aware of risks in their work tasks and tell them how to avoid injury or illness while\u00a0doing those tasks.<\/p><p>They provide information necessary to guide employees to perform tasks safely and reliably.
